Everything You Always Wanted To Know
Joshua Smith
Founder and Editor at Cruising Freedom
This is the definitive guide on JE Wilds Fishing for 2023.
Over the last several years, I have spent many hours watching and researching everything I could about JE Wilds to learn more about their story.
This article refers to their fishing channel as I’m just not that into their hunting videos. But regardless, I’ll take a deep dive into how they achieved success online.
If you wanted to know:
➜ How JE Wilds afford to live their lifestyle
➜ How they make a full-time income off YouTube
➜ What boat do they have and its upgrades
➜ Their real names, ages and location
➜ How you can start crossing oceans
Then you’ve definitely come to the right place.
Before we start, a quick introduction from me…
The Cruising Freedom Author
Ahoy, Matey! I’m Joshua from Australia.
I’ve built the perfect business to sail the world.
A business model which can allow me to:
➜ Own a catamaran debt-free
➜ Go for weeks without WIFI
➜ Create semi-passive income
➜ Inspire others to dream big
But more on that later… 🙂
JE Wilds FAQs (April 2023)
Boat Name
They don’t have a boat as yet, but I hear they’re looking for sponsors.
Crew Members
Joe Eglington (age 31)
Catherine Sayce (age 29)
Catherine is an Instagram influencer and has a solid following:
Location
Many of their fishing locations have been a closely-guarded secret. If I were them and I had the GPS locations then I wouldn’t share them out, unless you asked nicely… 😉
All of their videos are filmed in New Zealand, predominantly in the remote areas of the north island.
Affording It
Both Joe and Cath worked full-time for several years while camping on weekends. One day they started filming and people LOVED it!
After a couple of years, they were able to chuck in their jobs as they were earning enough online to get by.
Net Worth
Today in 2023, JE Wilds has a net worth of $570,000 NZ dollars. This is estimated based off their real estate value, their boat, business income and personal savings.
Making Loot
So how do they make this money off YouTube?
Well, several ways actually:
➜ They are sponsored by Daiwa
➜ There are ads running on their channel
➜ They get donations via Patreon
➜ They also do some freelance filming and photography work
Clearly they know how to put together an epic video, and we can expect their revenue to increase year-on-year.
Collaborations
Have you seen them on any other channel? I haven’t personally but they are very similar to Sailing Nandji.
Big Moments
They’ve had some cool experiences including camping on a remote island after being delivered by a helicopter. I can’t wait to see what more is to come.
Future Plans
Where to next? They’ll be aiming to explore Australia and might even buy their own boat. 🙂
Key Takeaways
What can we learn from this beautiful couple?
➜ Be willing to explore the wild
➜ Cliff-fishing can be a very safe sport
➜ Look for solid brand sponsorships
➜ Always fight for your freedom
And of course, find a beautiful mermaid to join you on your journey! 🤩
Conclusion
I’ve been watching for a while and can’t wait to see what is to come from these New Zealanders!
