Everything You Always Wanted To Know
Joshua Smith
Founder and Editor at Cruising Freedom
This is the definitive guide on Reef Addicts for 2023.
Over the last several years, I have spent many hours watching and researching everything I could about Reef Addicts to learn more about their stories.
(Yes, I really am *that* obsessed with my fellow Australians 😃)
If you wanted to know:
➜ How Reef Addicts afforded their boat
➜ How they make their money today
➜ What boat do they have and its upgrades
➜ Who is his girlfriend Larissa
➜ How you can start crossing oceans
Then you’ve definitely come to the right place.
Before we start, a quick introduction from me…
The Cruising Freedom Author
Ahoy, Matey! I’m Joshua from Australia.
I’ve built the perfect business to sail the world.
A business model which can allow me to:
➜ Own a catamaran debt-free
➜ Go for weeks without WIFI
➜ Create semi-passive income
➜ Inspire others to dream big
But more on that later… 🙂
Reef Addicts FAQs (2024)
Boat Name
Josh’s boat doesn’t have a name.
Cast Members
Joshua Matulis (age 26) who plays AFL and works full-time.
But you know, most people’s focus is on someone else…
Reef Addict’s girlfriend is Larissa Rogers (age 24) who is an absolute Aussie bombshell!
A very lucky man indeed. She works as a full-time nurse in Brisbane but has recently taken some leave from work.
If you get injured in Brisbane, then who knows, you might be lucky enough to be looked after by her… 😉
The Boat
Reef Addicts has a Seapro trailer boat and its registration is AKJ32Q. He also owns a jet ski.
His car is a Mercedes-Benz X-Class (X350D) ute with registration 087 ZCM.
Upgrades
He has replaced his outboard engine with a 100HP Yamaha and replaced a bit of gear on his trailer.
Location
According to Instagram and YouTube, they have gone out bush and doing a ton of fishing and camping adventures.
Past Cruising
Reef Addicts have been exploring a lot from the Gold Coast up to Cairns.
Affording It
Josh doesn’t come from rich parents and was able to afford his epic lifestyle through hard work.
Net Worth
Reef Addicts has a net worth of $290,000 Australian dollars as of 2023.
This is based on the value of their boat, 4×4 and online business.
Making Loot
Josh doesn’t take his channel seriously but has racked up a ton of subscribers already. He could be making up to $5,000/month by optimizing properly.
Collaborations
Apart from his beautiful girlfriend, I haven’t seen him collab with any other fishing channels.
Big Moments
His best video racked up over a million views:
There is no surprise why… 🤩
Future Plans
Where to next? They might explore the world but first, they want to do a ton of fishing in their own backyard.
Key Takeaways
What can we learn from this legend?
➜ Keep your videos as simple as possible
➜ Be willing to go beyond your comfort zone
➜ There is plenty to explore within Australia
➜ Find a gorgeous lass to join you on the journey
And of course, be yourself on YouTube.
Conclusion
I have come to enjoy Josh’s videos a ton and can’t wait to see how his channel evolves over time.
