Everything You Always Wanted To Know
Founder and Editor at Cruising Freedom
This is the definitive guide on RoKKiT KiT for 2023.
Over the last several years, I have spent many hours watching a ton of his fishing episodes on YouTube!
(Yes, I really am *that* obsessed with Rodney’s Australian channel 😃)
If you wanted to know:
➜ How RoKKiT KiT afforded their boat
➜ How they make their money today
➜ What boat do they have and its upgrades
➜ Who Rodney’s wife actually is
➜ How you can start crossing oceans
Then you’ve definitely come to the right place.
Before we start, a quick introduction from me…
The Cruising Freedom Author
Ahoy, Matey! I’m Joshua from Australia.
I’ve built the perfect business to sail the world.
A business model which can allow me to:
➜ Own a catamaran debt-free
➜ Go for weeks without WIFI
➜ Create semi-passive income
➜ Inspire others to dream big
But more on that later… 🙂
RoKKiT KiT FAQs (April 2023)
Rodney Pacitti (age 44) who is originally from the Gold Coast. His wife Twahn Pacitti (age 34) has joined on some recent episodes, as have his children.
Rod owns a 26′ International Folkboat. It has a lifting coach roof so he can stand up inside when it’s raised.
In addition, he’s owned a micro fishing skiff, a kayak and a hellcat.
He’s upgraded his sailboat with a chartplotter and AIS for safety.
They’re currently in the Whitsundays after leaving the Gold Coast.
Rodney has done a ton of solo camping and catch and cook fishing from Sydney right up to Fraser Island.
Are they rich? Clearly not, but they’re quite reasonable with their money.
RoKKiT KiT has a net worth of $270,000 Australian dollars.
Rodney runs his own Gold Coast local business. Through his channel, he only sells merchandise and allows ads on his channel.
He doesn’t use his channel to make money necessarily but does make around $2,500/month.
Have you seen any other fishing YouTubers on his channel
I haven’t, but if you have, please reach out to me. 🙂
Rodney’s avoided the click-baitey drama and has focused almost entirely on fishing, sailing and remote camping.
His worst experience was having a large fish hook caught in his finger. It was nasty for sure!
Rodney is planning to sail right up to Lizard Island with his new sailboat.
What can we learn from this legend?
➜ Keep things super simple
➜ Sailing is easier than you might think
➜ Don’t be afraid of the open ocean
➜ Find someone who’ll support you
And of course, have a ton of fun out there!
Rodney reminds us every day to make the most out of each and every weekend. He has avoided all the nonsense that comes from other channels and focuses entirely on fishing, thereby earning the respect of many within the community.
Personally, I’m excited to see what’s to come from his channel now that he has bought his sailboat. Sailing around the world? Maybe. Hopefully. It’ll be one epic channel if that happens. 🚀
