This is the definitive guide on Sailing With Six for 2023.

You could say I’m a bit obsessed with this Australian cruising family 😃 as they inspire me!

Before we start, a quick introduction from me…
The Cruising Freedom Author
Ahoy, Matey! I’m Joshua from Australia.
I’ve built the perfect business to sail the world.
A business model which can allow me to:
➜ Own a catamaran debt-free
➜ Go for weeks without WIFI
➜ Create semi-passive income
➜ Inspire others to dream big
But more on that later… 🙂
Sailing With Six FAQs (April 2023)
S/V Happy Days
Kris Fothergill (age 39)
Shona Fothergill (age 38)
They have been together for almost 20 years.
Bella, Finn, Archie and Pippi are their children.
Sailing With Six has a 2012 Leopard 46 which they only bought about 1 year ago.
You can view a tour here:
Previously they owned a 26ft Seale called S/V Wakalina, and prior to that, a 23ft Hunter which was S/V Love Handles.
As their kids were growing bigger, they had to upgrade to a much bigger boat.
They are currently in Panama.
This is one of their most recent videos:
They have been sailing non-stop for 5 years, having sailed through the United States, South Pacific and Australia.
Kris and Shona owned a house on the Gold Coast. They sold this to fund the purchase of their catamaran.
For them – life is too short and they cherished the time with their children, so they made the dream happen.
Sailing With Six has a net worth of $950,000 Australian dollars. This is based on the value of their boat and business income.
Kris and Shona make $4,100/month through:
➜ Patreon subscribers
➜ Ads on their channel
➜ PayPal donation
I haven’t seen them with any other cruisers, but they are very similar to The Sailing Family and The Cruising Kiwis.
Things have been relatively stable for this beautiful cruising family. They have been border at night once but that’s all really.
After exploring New Zealand, it’s more likely that they’ll explore Australia.
What can we learn from this beautiful family?
➜ Go with the resources you have available
➜ Be willing to involve them in the process
➜ Work through your family challenges
➜ World schooling works extremely well
And of course, be willing to change plans.
While they have a smaller channel, I really have enjoyed the content from Sailing With Six.
They remind me to make the dream possible. After all, we’re both from the Gold Coast!

Some say I’m obsessed, but sailing the world is my childhood dream.
They’re living the dream, but that dream isn’t actually that far away.
I mentioned earlier about discovering the #1 cruising business model.
With this exciting opportunity, I’ll be able to:
➜ Generate a sustainable full-time income through learning basic skills
➜ Fund the purchase of my first sailing catamaran without any loans
➜ Do it without selling to friends and family (I found a better solution!)
➜ Share my lifetime passion for sailing, cruising and global adventures
